Good news from Good Boost – Sport Tech Hub Accelerator alumnus

Sport Tech Hub Accelerator alumnus, Good Boost, have received funding from Innovate UK to enhance their app supporting people suffering from Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, to improve their health and wellbeing at home.

Good Boost is a social enterprise which uses clinical technology to transform initially public pools and now homes into therapeutic spaces.

With MSK affecting over 18 million people across the UK, and with millions of physiotherapy and joint surgery appointments postponed due to Covid-19, they’re adapting their world-leading technology to create a solution that supports users at home. They have ‘re-trained’ their AI software to create an app which provides individually-tailored exercises that users can follow on your phone.

Good Boost are on a mission to measurably improve health and wellbeing through personalised movement and rehabilitation, powered by technology, in order to create accessible and affordable community services that reduce health inequalities.

Good Boost took part in the third cohort of our Sport Tech Hub Accelerator programme, and have since gone on to:

Alex Zurita - Head of Sport Tech Hub

“It is brilliant to see Good Boost’s continued growth and maintaining their upward trajectory since finishing our accelerator programme.

The coalition of partners around the project is a great mix of organisations bringing to the table expertise around servicing people suffering from a MSK condition, academia, policy and research. This mixed with Good Boost’s award winning technology will set the project on good grounding.

The best part of this all, is that people who have been affected by COVID from the point of view of being unable to access an MSK service, displacement of existing appointments or support, will now be able to get back to using physical activity to manage and improve their condition, while doing so through technology that will enable them to access a personalised programme from the convenience of their own space and time.

We look forward continuing to support Good Boost as an alum of our programme and a member of our community.”
